Accounts Assistant - EUT - AMS Group

Role Overview
 
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Finance Supervisor by assisting in day-to-day activities across the finance department to help meet our organization’s financial reporting needs. As part of our Emirates for Universal Tyres team in Dubai, you'll work in an ONSITE environment ensuring optimal and efficient administration of banking, petty cash, purchase and sales ledger activities according to company policies, while maintaining a proactive and resourceful approach to both financial and personnel management.

Responsibilities
  • Follow proper banking procedures and perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Process authorized petty cash vouchers and ensure accurate recording of all transactions.
  • Conduct daily reconciliation of sales and cash across all departments and branches, resolving any discrepancies that arise promptly.
  • Collect and analyse account information to reconcile financial discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting to sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Prepare supplier payments as instructed, ready for Finance Supervisor authorization.
  • Verify documentation for new customer credit applications prior to authorisation by the Finance Supervisor.
  • Perform monthly supplier reconciliations to ensure statement accuracy.
  • Assist with closing activities during the end of month and year-end cycles.
  • Facilitate auditor requests during the final audit period, supplying needed documentation efficiently.
  • Maintain rigorous and orderly filing of all financial documentation.
  • Ensure Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) are raised where applicable before non-stock ordering activities.
  • Participate in regular performance appraisals and deliver constructive feedback as needed.
  • Attend training programs to enhance relevant professional knowledge and skills.
  • Undertake additional training as identified by the Finance Manager to ensure professional development.
Must have requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Finance.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a finance department.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency using MS Dynamics or a similar ERP system.
  • Keen desire to learn and grow professionally within the finance field.
