Wok Chef - Eathos

As a Commis Chef (Wok Chef), you will be an integral part of our culinary team, responsible for creating authentic and flavorful Thai dishes that delight our customers. Your expertise in wok cooking, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will contribute to delivering experiences and upholding the high culinary standards.
  • Wok cooking: Expertly preparing various Thai dishes using the wok.
  • Food preparation: Handling ingredients and ensuring quality.
  • Following recipes: Adhering to recipe cards and expanding knowledge of Thai cuisine.
  • Wastage control: Minimizing food waste.
  • Workstation organization: Maintaining a clean and organized wok station.
  • Food safety: Adhering to food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Prep time management: Efficiently preparing ingredients for cooking.
  • Quality control: Inspecting food items before serving.
  • Inventory management: Monitoring inventory levels.
  • Operational procedures: Following morning and closing procedures.

Qualifications:
  • Culinary Experience: Previous experience as a Wok Chef or relevant culinary expertise in Thai cuisine is preferred.
  • Wok Cooking Skills: Proficient in the art of wok cooking, including stir-frying, frying, and sautéing, to produce flavorful Thai dishes.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety principles and best practices, ensuring compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Time Management: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment, managing multiple orders and maintaining high-quality food output.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to work in various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the restaurant's operational needs.
