Job Purpose
The Climate Tribe seeks an experienced Film Editor to lead the editing and data management functions across all film, campaign, and event productions. The role combines hands-on editorial responsibility with oversight of data storage, archiving, and workflow systems, ensuring the secure handling and delivery of all audiovisual assets.
The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency, editorial judgement, and organisational discipline, supporting a growing production ecosystem that involves both in-house and freelance contributors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Edit films, short-form content, podcasts, and any other forms of content to the highest technical and creative standards.
  • Execute colour correction and grading, sound alignment, and finishing processes to ensure visual and tonal consistency across all outputs.
  • Uphold The Climate Tribe’s editorial and visual guidelines throughout every stage of post-production.
  • Review work completed by editors and external partners to ensure quality, coherence, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Establish and maintain efficient post-production pipelines, timelines, and delivery protocols.
  • Administer The Climate Tribe’s online and offline storage systems, ensuring secure backup, accessibility, and version control.
  • Catalogue and archive footage, project files, and final masters within a structured and searchable framework.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for file naming, labelling, and long-term data preservation.
  • Supervise the receipt and verification of media from freelancers, ensuring file integrity before integration into the central archive.
  • Continuously assess and refine post-production processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Coordinate with technical teams and vendors on infrastructure maintenance, storage expansion, and software updates.
  • Maintain documentation of workflows, technical settings, and backup protocols to ensure consistency across the department.
  • Support onboarding and capacity-building efforts by training team members and freelancers in data and workflow standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • In-depth understanding of editing workflows, colour grading, sound alignment, and final delivery across diverse media formats.Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and related software such as After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale online and offline storage systems, ensuring secure backups, structured organisation, and long-term accessibility of assets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience coordinating across production, creative, and communications teams, as well as with external editors.
  •  Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in editing  or related production fields.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace.
  • Positive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English, with the ability to communicate effectively and review content in both languages.
