Job Purpose
The UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators (UICCA) and its subsidiary company The Climate Tribe (TCT) are eager to connect with new audiences and engage our existing base through compelling social media initiatives and content. We are seeking a Social Media Manager to help us expand and manage our digital footprint and oversee all social communications efforts. This individual will develop and implement informed content strategies tailored to the strengths of different social media platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement, helping us achieve our organizational goals.
Objectives
- Build our organisational brand awareness and equity across social channels/platforms
- Increase engagement with high-quality social initiatives
- Grow our followership by understanding key audiences and filling gaps in our marketing content output
- Align our brands with new and emerging trends
- Improve ROI through more consistently on-target messaging
- Identify new channels to embed our brand that align our marketing direction
- Glean insights from social data using monitoring tools
Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for the development of an informed social media strategy to support our organisational goals. Serve as an extension of the organisation’s brand to connect with stakeholders and acquire new ones.
- Use social media tools to craft and release content to our social channels. Develop social media campaigns and real time event content in collaboration with the marketing and events team.
- Establish key performance indicators to understand the efficacy of existing social campaigns and adjust strategy for further optimizations.
- Establish reporting metrics and analytic tools to analyze our metrics and identify opportunities to continuously improve our strategy.
- Understand and solidify our voice and tone to develop original engagement strategies (copywriting, imagery, video, etc.) that are aligned with our brands.
- Lead and manage a graphic designer and production team for content creation (from brief to on ground, and post-production)
- Drive efficiencies across strategy, development, and delivery in collaboration with various resources to have engaging and impactful engagement with our social audiences.
- Write and schedule high-quality original content for our social tools on an ongoing basis.
- Execute new ideas quickly.
- Manage the online social communities for both brands
- Work directly and build relationships with UICCA/TCT partners and contributors.
- Collaborate and clearly communicate needs with our marketing, creative and production teams to develop engaging content optimized for audience engagement and organisational goals.
- Stay up to date with new and emerging trends to help keep the brands’ social media presence consistently relevant.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Passion for sustainability and community building around People, Planet and Purpose.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience in social media marketing roles.
- Experience working at a brand, marketing, PR or design agency, or working within an in-house marketing team.
- Experience creating original content is essential.
- Bilingual – Experience with social media copywriting in English and Arabic.
- Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to execute with quality.
- Experience managing graphic designers/agency support
- Significant experience with top social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) and management tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, digital marketing tools and operational management systems
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, including the capacity to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a startup environment with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated "can do" attitude and proactive approach to tasks, with a commitment to take initiative, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute innovative ideas to enhance marketing and communications efforts.
