We are looking for an experienced and responsible Safety Officer to join our team in the KSA. As a Safety Officer, you will be responsible for facilitating compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines. Your main goal will be to always ensure a safe working environment and prevent any injuries and incidents in the workplace.
Your work will be largely focused on prevention so you need to be conscientious and farsighted. The ideal candidate will also be detail-oriented and ready to act in emergencies.
The goal is to establish a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Support and implement OHS policies and programs

Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics

Initiate and organise OHS training of employees and executives
-
Adhere to all the rules and regulations
-
Prepare and conduct risk assessment to enforce preventative measures

Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with rules and regulations
-
Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy

Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees' safety
-
Respond immediately to safety incidents/accidents ensuring risk mitigation strategies are implemented in a timely manner

Support the incident management process in investigations to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims

Conduct site safety orientations and training as required

Complete and provide site safety reports as required
Skills & Requirements:

Proven experience as a Safety Officer

Minimum 5 years experience in health and safety in the construction Industry

In depth knowledge of legislation and procedures

Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices

Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics

Proficient in MS Office/ G-suit
-
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
-
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Demonstrated competence in areas of safety, people management and project execution

Great interpersonal and communication skills

BSc in Engineering or safety management
-
Certificate in occupational health and safety
-
Certified in NEBOSH/ and IOSH is required
