Travel Supervisor - AMS Group

Role Overview
 
As a Travel Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting our travel operations to deliver exceptional service across all client touchpoints. As part of our Advanced Travel & Tourism team in Abu Dhabi, you'll work in an ONSITE environment and will be responsible for leading a dynamic team, ensuring seamless workflow, and driving top-tier customer satisfaction. You will play a vital part in coaching staff, optimizing office processes, and nurturing strong partnerships with clients and vendors to maintain our reputation for excellence in the travel industry.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of travel consultants, fostering collaboration and productivity.
  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure smooth workflow and superior customer service.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, analyse results, and implement process improvements.
  • Manage client relationships and professionally resolve escalated customer issues.
  • Coordinate with airline and supplier vendors to build and maintain strong business relations.
  • Train, mentor, and develop new employees, providing continuous support and direction.
  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and company policies, including maintaining various portal balances.
  • Act as an Amadeus System expert, providing hands-on support to team members as required.
  • Prepare and present regular reports for senior management.
Must have requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the travel industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role within the UAE.
  • Strong working knowledge of international travel destinations, products, and services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Amadeus System, including issuance and reissuance of tickets.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in travel booking and hotel portals as well as office tools such as MS Office.
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of professionalism with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Certificate in Travel and Tourism.
Nice to have requirements
  • Previous experience managing multi-location teams or diverse travel portfolios.
  • Advanced training certifications in travel management or customer service.
  • Knowledge of additional Global Distribution Systems (GDS) beyond Amadeus.
  • Expertise in crisis management for travel arrangements and last-minute changes.
