Role Overview
The Sales Manager - Emirates for Universal Tyres will oversee the battery and lubricants portfolio, leading a high-performing sales team tasked with driving market growth and maximizing revenue across the UAE. As part of our team in Dubai, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, developing innovative strategies, nurturing key business relationships, and ensuring operational excellence. This position is ideal for a strategic and hands-on leader with proven expertise in B2B sales focused on the automotive sector, particularly batteries and lubricants.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement robust strategic sales plans to achieve business growth, revenue, and margin targets for battery and lubricant products.
- Establish, build, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with B2B dealers, wholesalers, independent workshops, fleets, and government organizations to support customer retention and market expansion.
- Set clear sales targets, continuously monitor performance, and forecast daily, weekly, and monthly sales objectives to ensure consistent achievement across the team.
- Report sales, revenue, inventory, and market forecasts regularly to the Head of Operations and General Manager.
- Lead, coach, and mentor a field-based sales team, conducting daily performance reviews and identifying training needs for ongoing improvement.
- Oversee and participate in regular market visits with the team, maximizing direct customer engagement and gathering insights into competitor activities.
- Conduct quarterly market analyses to stay updated on trends, pricing, and competitor strategies, refining sales and marketing approaches as needed.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, and develop pricing and discount strategies for management approval.
- Collaborate with technical support to address customer queries, product performance issues, and manage claims efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and stock aging, coordinating closely with supply chain teams to align stock with sales strategies.
Requirements for the Role
- Proven experience in the UAE market with demonstrated success in expanding battery and lubricant sales.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in automotive or lubricant sales, with a solid track record in B2B customer engagement.
- Exceptional ability to operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with a focus on actionable market insights.
- Demonstrated leadership of sales teams, including coaching, mentoring, and driving team performance improvements.
- Outstanding relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills tailored to influence key stakeholders.
- Excellent business acumen and industry knowledge in battery and lubricant sales.
- Valid UAE driving license with a clean record.
