ABOUT THE POSITION

SUMMARY OF ROLE
 
The Paralegal will act as the business’ primary local legal liaison for UAE legal, regulatory and administrative matters.
 
The role will support the Head of Legal by coordinating routine local legal requirements, liaising with UAE external counsel and government-facing service providers in Arabic where required, assisting with translations, and supporting notary, corporate and regulatory processes.
 
This is a remote role, with occasional attendance required for UAE legal, notary, corporate or government-related matters.
 
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITY
 
Local UAE Legal Support
  • Support the Head of Legal with routine UAE legal, corporate governance, regulatory and commercial matters.
  • Assist with reviewing, preparing and coordinating UAE legal documents, board resolutions, powers of attorney, undertakings, notices, basic contracts and corporate filings.
  • Support local legal processes involving Dubai/UAE authorities, free zones, notaries, licensing bodies, banks, government departments and other service providers.
Arabic Liaison
  • Act as the day-to-day liaison with UAE external lawyers, notaries, translators, PROs and local service providers.
  • Coordinate instructions, document requests, translations, signatures, notarisation, attestation and filing requirements.
  • Attend calls or meetings with local lawyers or advisors where Arabic language support is required and summarise advice, correspondence and action points for the Head of Legal in clear English.
  • Assist with Arabic/English translation review of routine legal and corporate documents. Check Arabic documents against English versions for consistency, accuracy and key legal/commercial points.
Legal Support
  • Track local legal tasks, deadlines, renewals, government submissions and external counsel deliverables.
  • Help manage routine local legal administration, including document execution, notarisation, attestation and courier coordination.
  • Escalate material legal, regulatory, commercial or reputational issues to the Head of Legal.
EXPERIENCE / PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • UAE national.
  • Arabic and English speaker, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, junior legal executive or legal administrator, ideally within a UAE law firm, in-house legal team, government-facing department or corporate services environment.
  • Familiarity with UAE notary, attestation, POA, corporate filing, licensing or government document processes is desirable.
  • Able to liaise confidently with local lawyers, notaries, translators, PROs and government-facing service providers.
  • Organised, reliable and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage routine legal tasks independently.
  • Comfortable working independently, remotely and providing clear written updates to the Head of Legal.
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
