Marketing Executive - Chedi Hospitality

  • Initiating and placing news of the hotel and hotel employees in the local media that will add to the awareness and prestige of the hotel.
  • Act as a liaison between the hotel and the press to answer all media inquiries.
  • To closely monitor external opinions of the hotel and to feedback such information to the Director of Sales and Marketing and General Manager and recommend the appropriate actions to be taken.
  • Coordinate media familiarization visits for all departments concerned, liaising with relevant operational staff.
  • Monitor daily media - both local and overseas - and ensure that all clipping files are maintained accordingly.
  • Ensure that the media advertising rate files, local and international wherever possible, are up to date. Organize public relations events which create pre and post publicity. Manage advertising and promotions budget. Be involved in public affairs i.e. government-linked tourism bodies. Prepare and submit hotel participation for related awards.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives with creative advertising and press releases, update hotel website and manage and reply to the hotel’s social media pages i.e. Facebook, TripAdvisor, Twitter, Instagram.
  • Cover in-house activities and functions and prepare appropriate hotel information folders for the media personnel and releases.
  • Support the Director of Sales and Marketing in the development of team members in the fundamentals of hotel media relations.
  • Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing to update hotel information and rates in all websites or new opportunities to expose the hotel to the public.
  • Prepare quarterly e-newsletter for customers by compiling useful information and promotions that can drive business to the hotel.
  • Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing in coordinating with hotel partners in terms of the co-promotion programmes by submitting information required by partners.
  • Prepare monthly reports to be submitted to the General Manager, Director of Sales and Marketing to review at the end of the month which includes printing, promotions and advertising.
  • Manage photo, video shootings and make sure is appropriate to the brand standards.
  • Create and execute annual public relations plan.
  • Create and execute annual social media plan. Monitor and response to all social media requests.
