Role Overview
As a Chef Baker, you will be an integral part of our culinary team in The Chedi Hegra, creating exquisite baked goods in a vibrant, onsite environment. You will bring artistry, precision, and creativity to each aspect of the bakery, crafting exceptional pastries, breads, and desserts that elevate the guest experience and uphold our reputation for culinary excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, bake, and present a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts in line with the hotel's high standards.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations and timely output of baked goods.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bakery station, adhering strictly to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Create new recipes and seasonal items in line with current baking trends and guest preferences.
- Oversee inventory of baking supplies, ordering ingredients, and managing cost control without compromising on quality.
- Guide, train, and inspire junior bakers and kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and quality across all baked products.
- Continuously monitor product quality and presentation to guarantee customer satisfaction.
Must have requirements
- Proven experience as a professional baker or pastry chef in a hotel, resort, or high-end bakery.
- Expertise in artisan bread-making, pastry production, and dessert preparations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of baking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, onsite environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
