IT Assistant - Chedi Hospitality

Role Overview
As an IT Assistant, you will provide crucial hands-on support within our IT department, ensuring the seamless operation of day-to-day technical services. As part of our team in The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, addressing a variety of hardware, software, and network needs to support business operations.
 
Responsibilities
  • Offer first-line technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Assist with setup, monitoring, and maintenance of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi networks, and servers.
  • Support software installations, updates, rollouts, and manage software licenses.
  • Troubleshoot and determine solutions for technical problems, escalating to IT Manager as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, assets, software licenses, and support requests.
  • Assist with regular data backups, data recovery procedures, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Support IT projects involving system upgrades, migrations, and hardware deployments.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with internal IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
Must have requirements
  • Proven experience in IT support, preferably in a hospitality or corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac OS operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware ESXI and NAS storages.
  • Hands-on experience installing and maintaining computers, printers, and networking equipment.
  • Hands on Cisco Meraki firewall, Network Switches & Access points.
  • Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and basic server administration.
  • Solid understanding of music network BGM.
  • Experience with software installations, updates, and managing software licenses.
  • Experience with Telephonic PABX system.
  • IP based CCTV Camera system.
  • Guest Room key card system.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a busy onsite environment.
  • Clear communication skills and a guest-service mindset.
