Role Overview
As a Groups & Events Sales Manager (Events, Banquet & Catering), you will play a key role in driving group business, MICE, weddings, and social events revenue at The Chedi Hegra. As part of our team in The Chedi Hegra, you'll work in an onsite environment that thrives on delivering exceptional luxury hospitality experiences. You will develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring the seamless execution and conversion of group bookings and events from proposal through to follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Actively source and secure groups, MICE, weddings, and social events business to exceed revenue targets.
- Prepare professional proposals, contracts, and budgets tailored to client needs.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, from lead generation to event execution and post-event follow-up.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure operational excellence and outstanding event delivery.
- Oversee banquet and catering planning, ensuring every detail aligns with luxury brand standards.
- Conduct event forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management using Opera PMS and sales/CRM systems.
- Develop strong relationships with corporate, MICE, and social segment stakeholders to maintain and expand the client base.
- Lead negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements while maximizing profitability.
- Continually analyze market trends, competition, and demand to capitalize on new business opportunities.
Must have requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Groups & Events, Banquet Sales, or Catering Sales within luxury hospitality.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue for group business, MICE, weddings, and social events.
- Comprehensive knowledge of event planning, banquet operations, and sales conversion processes.
- Proven ability to prepare accurate proposals, contracts, budgets, and event forecasts.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Opera PMS and proficiency in sales systems and CRM tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand operational environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, organization, and stakeholder management abilities.

- Previous experience in ultra-luxury or lifestyle hotel brands.
- Established network within KSA corporate, MICE, and event markets.
- Professional experience with destination or resort properties.
- Knowledge of the AlUla market and current tourism trends.
- Additional language proficiency beyond English.
