Head Chef - Chedi Hospitality

Role Overview
As part of our team in The Chedi Hegra, you'll work in an ONSITE environment leading our culinary operations as Head Chef. This pivotal position is responsible for driving culinary excellence, inspiring a talented team, and ensuring each guest experiences exceptional cuisine within our unique luxury setting.
 
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu creation, food preparation, and presentation standards.
  • Lead, inspire, and train the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes consistently.
  • Source and select premium ingredients, focusing on freshness and sustainability.
  • Maintain exceptional hygiene and safety standards in accordance with HACCP and local regulations.
  • Monitor inventory, manage kitchen budgets, and optimize food costs without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to enhance guest dining experiences, including special events and seasonal offerings.
  • Stay current with culinary trends, integrating innovative techniques and menu items.
Must have requirements
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in luxury hotels or high-end restaurants.
  • Extensive knowledge of international and regional cuisines, with a dedication to culinary excellence.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building, motivating, and managing high-performing teams.
  • Formal culinary training and relevant certifications.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to have requirements
  • Experience working in unique or heritage hospitality environments.
  • Familiarity with Middle Eastern cuisine and local ingredients.
  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
  • Published culinary works or participation in recognized culinary competitions.
  • Ability to engage with guests through live cooking demonstrations or chef’s tables.
