Logistics - Import/Export Manager - Chemist Warehouse

Role Overview
As part of our team in Head office, you'll work in an ONSITE environment leading a global supply chain as our Logistics - Import/Export Manager. You will be responsible for all aspects of worldwide logistics operations—both import and export—with a strong focus on shipments into Australia, Ireland, UAE, and Europe from various international origins. Your expertise will guide efficient movement of goods across multiple regulatory environments and ensure seamless coordination with vendors and partners.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize import and export logistics for shipments worldwide, particularly into Australia, Ireland, UAE, and Europe.
  • Coordinate international freight forwarding, customs clearance, and resolve cross-border issues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with carriers, shipping lines, and logistics partners.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, documentation requirements, and trade agreements.
  • Develop strategies to reduce shipping costs and minimize transit times without sacrificing service quality.
  • Monitor logistics KPIs and present analysis to drive process improvements.
  • Oversee shipping documentation, insurance, and risk management procedures.
  • Liaise with internal departments for demand planning, inventory management, and customer support.
Must have requirements
  • 5-7 years prior experience in a logistics or supply chain management role, specializing in worldwide import and export operations.
  • Strong expertise in international shipping practices, including import/export regulations and documentation.
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating shipments to Australia, Ireland, UAE, and Europe from diverse origins.
  • Proven ability to work ONSITE as part of a high-performing team at a head office location.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage vendors and internal stakeholders.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or international business.
  • Fluency in additional languages relevant to global trading partners.
