Daikan Izakaya, Abu Dhabi a premier destination for Japanese cuisine, is on the lookout for Bar Back supports bartenders by ensuring the bar is fully stocked, clean, organized, and operating efficiently. The role involves preparing supplies, replenishing stock, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting the bar team in delivering excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders during service periods to ensure smooth operations.
- Replenish beverages, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and other bar supplies.
- Prepare garnishes, juices, syrups, and other ingredients as required.
- Ensure the bar area remains clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Collect and wash glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages.
- Receive, organize, and store beverage deliveries and rotate stock according to company procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock control activities.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
- Dispose of waste and empty bottles appropriately.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times and ensure work areas are free from hazards.
- Respond promptly to requests from bartenders and service staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of beverages, bar operations, and hospitality service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry stock, kegs, and supplies when required.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
