Daikan is looking for a skilled and motivated Project Engineer specializing in interior fit-out projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of the fit-out projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Oversight: Provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, including design, planning, and execution phases. Ensure all technical specifications are met in compliance with industry standards.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, contractors, and designers to facilitate effective communication and coordination of project details. Ensure all project activities align with the overall vision and client requirements.
- Budget Management: Assist in the preparation of project budgets and monitor expenses, ensuring projects remain within financial limits while maintaining quality standards.
- Site Inspection: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with engineering best practices. Document and report any deviations from project plans.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address technical challenges promptly, offering solutions that align with project goals and timelines.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables adhere to quality control protocols, conducting inspections as required to monitor quality standards throughout the construction process.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, correspondence, and change orders. Ensure all records are up-to-date and accessible for review.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety within project teams, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and practices on site.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer in interior fit-out or related construction projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction processes, and project management practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and safety.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Professional certification (e.g., PMP, LEED) is a plus.
