Junior IT System Engineer - ELECTRA

At Electra we need talented people that will share our strategy to be the obvious contracting partner for local & international players who wish to set up an event within the GCC.
 
Overview
The Junior IT System Engineer will support daily IT operations, system administration, and basic AI-assisted tasks. The role involves managing users, systems, networks, security tools, and remote support while ensuring smooth IT service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
 
System & User Management
  • Manage Active Directory: user creation, modifications, password resets.
  • Handle folder creation, permissions, and shared folder management.
  • Perform Windows OS administration and basic troubleshooting.
Networking & Connectivity
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN issues.
  • Configure and support VPN access.
  • Install and manage network printers.
Security & Applications
  • Support Sophos endpoint security.
  • Work with Barracuda email security for filtering and quarantine checks.
  • Install and troubleshoot software and business applications.
Office 365 Administration
  • Assist with Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Basic license assignment and user access management.
Remote Support
  • Provide assistance via Anydesk, TeamViewer, UltraViewer, etc.
  • Handle support tickets and resolve user issues efficiently.
Basic AI Support
  • Use AI tools to create documentation, automate simple tasks, and help users with basic AI usage.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of IT support experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, AD, networking basics, VPN, and O365.
  • Familiarity with Antivirus and Security systems, Basic AI tools
  • Good communication & problem-solving skills.
