Lead Graphic Designer - ELECTRA

At Electra we need talented people that will share our strategy to be the obvious contracting partner for local & international players who wish to set up an event within the GCC.
 
The Lead Graphic Designer is responsible for designing, preparing, and coordinating graphics while managing the team of graphic designers within the Décor & Graphics department. The role requires strong expertise in design software, print production, and digital media printer systems to ensure all files meet quality and production standards. This position also involves close collaboration with Production Coordinators, Project Managers, and suppliers to deliver high-quality event graphics on time and with maximum efficiency.
 
Main Accountabilities
  • Oversee design and production of graphic materials for exhibitions and events.
  • Work with Production Coordinators and Project Managers to understand project requirements.
  • Propose technical solutions and provide advice on materials and printing technique
  • Use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and digital media printer systems to check files and artwork.
  • Share Graphics Order Forms (GOF) with PM/AM to capture artwork details.
  • Create Proof of Print (POP) based on GOF and send for approval.
  • Share approved POP files with suppliers and select suppliers based on capacity and delivery timelines.
  • Act as the central point of contact between Project Coordinator, Production, and the installation team.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for printing, fabrication, and installation requirements.
  •  Monitor timelines for file preparation, production, and installation, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Ensure the graphics team follows established design and production processes.
  • Review and validate artwork, print proofs, and final outputs before approval.
  • Verify client-provided files meet required production formats.
  • Ensure approved files match final graphics production requirements.
  • Prepare specifications, job cards, and production-ready files.
  • Validate measurements, scales, and drawings against site requirements.
  • Support installation teams with clear instructions and technical drawings.
  • Troubleshoot design, print, or installation issues with cost-effective solutions.
 
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Number of years of Experience:
Minimum 3 years in graphics production.    Certification: 

Education: 
degree/diploma in Graphic Design or related field    Languages: 
English 
Systems: 
Microsoft Office; Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator; Digital media printer systems    
 
TECHNICAL & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS 

•    Strong understanding of printing materials, printing techniques, and installation techniques. 
•    Ability to troubleshoot site issues and implement quick solutions. 
•    Familiarity with industry-specific safety and quality standards.
