Application Consultant - ELECTRA

At Electra we need talented people that will share our strategy to be the obvious contracting partner for local & international players who wish to set up an event within the GCC.
 
We are looking for a versatile and proactive Application Consultant to primarily manage and support the company’s ERP system along with various other software applications across the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling multiple applications, providing end-user support, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring that business needs are met through effective implementation of solutions. Experience with Microsoft Business Central ERP will be an added advantage.
 
Main Accountabilities
 
Application Management and Support:
·         Provide day-to-day support for multiple business applications to ensure smooth operation.
·         Troubleshoot issues and resolve them promptly or escalate to suppliers as necessary.
·         Monitor application performance and maintain system stability.
·         Develop and enhance applications in line with changes to business requirements over time.
·         Within the above:
o   ~80%+ focus on the ERP system (Business Central)
o   ~20% focus on other specialist applications
Coordination with Suppliers:
  • Raise support tickets with suppliers and follow up to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Communicate business requirements and coordinate with suppliers for necessary changes or updates.
  • Ensure changes are implemented effectively and align with business objectives
Business Requirement Gathering:
·         Work closely with business owners to understand and document their needs
·         Translate business requirements into technical specifications for suppliers or development teams.
 
Application Enhancements and Proposals:
·         Evaluate and propose new applications or solutions to address business needs or improve efficiency.
·         Stay updated on market trends and emerging technologies to recommend suitable tools.
·         Lead initiatives to integrate new applications into the existing technology ecosystem.
 
User Training and Documentation:
·         Train end-users on application features, workflows, and best practices.
·         Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for applications and processes.
 
Project Coordination:
·         Assist in planning and executing application-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
·         Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
 
Number of years of Experience:
3-5
Experience in supporting and managing business applications.
Familiarity with raising and managing support tickets with suppliers
Strong understanding of business workflows and process improvement
 
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
 
Systems:
Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central ERP or Dynamics NAV is highly advantageous.
 
TECHNICAL SKILLS
·         Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting enterprise applications, including ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Business Central).
·         Knowledge of system integration (APIs), data migration, and basic SQL for reporting and analysis.
·         Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) and understanding IT infrastructure, including cloud solutions (Azure, Microsoft 365).
·         Familiarity with market trends and emerging SaaS applications to propose suitable solutions.
 
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
·         Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to align applications with organizational needs.
·         Skilled in requirement gathering, vendor coordination, and managing support tickets.
·         Effective in managing change, implementing updates, and ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
·         Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to train end-users and create process manuals.
·         Proactive in identifying and proposing innovative tools and solutions to enhance business efficiency.
