Senior Estimator - ELECTRA

At Electra we need talented people that will share our strategy to be the obvious contracting partner for local & international players who wish to set up an event within the GCC.
Under the guidance of the Operations Admin Manager, the project assistant’s role is to support the Estimation and Operations teams with administrative work, submit reports where needed.
 
Main Accountabilities
  • Working in line with the company direction, standards and to the best of their ability.
  • Assisting the Operations Admin Manager including but not limited to the below:
 
Quantity Surveyor / Estimation:
  • Assess, understand, and review the use of different materials in fabrication, cost differences with each and the impact on final product.
  • Assess, understand, and review visuals / drawings from Client Services / Design team.
  • Preparing a detailed BOQ based on drawings / information when one is not provided by Client Services team
  • Pricing detailed BOQ based using pricing tool document / working closely with fabrication estimator where needed.
  • Liaise with Project Management and Fabrication teams to establish cost effective solutions to meet client budget.
  •  
    Ensure all project specific elements are available and liaise with Procurement department when necessary.
  •  
    Work closely with CS team to address any budget related challenges.
  •  
    Maintain all of Electra’s costing forms and templates.
  •  
    Mentor new recruits to establish consistency in costing protocol.
  •  
    Conducting detailed cost analysis, monitoring cost variations post job, budgeted vs actual, adjust price point accordingly.
  •  
    Work closely with Budget Analyst, Fabrication Estimator to standardise pricing overall, increase profitability.
  •  
    ERP (NAV) maintenance of overall database, creating brand new pricing codes working closely both IT and Finance departments.

    General Obligations towards Health, Safety and Environment
    •      You will correctly use machinery, appliances, tools, transport, and all equipment issued by the company. 
    •      You will correctly use personal protective equipment supplied by the company.  
    •      You will not remove any safety devices for any machinery or installations. 
    •      You will perform all tasks set forth by safety and environmental regulations and thus cooperate with Electra to ensure a working environment and condition that do not pose any risks in terms of health, safety and environment to others.
