Operations Manager - Decor - ELECTRA

At Electra we need talented people that will share our strategy to be the obvious contracting partner for local & international players who wish to set up an event within the GCC.
 
The Operations Manager will oversee production and installation activities for fabric, graphics, upholstery, and décor within the events and exhibitions industry. This role requires coordinating with suppliers for work orders and deliveries,supervising on-site installations, and providing technical solutions to ensure smooth execution. A key focus is proposing cost-effective ideas and solving operational challenges both in factory and on site to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
 
Main Accountabilities
 
1. Production & Installation Oversight 
  • Plan and supervise production workflows for fabric, graphics, upholstery, and décor. 
  • Coordinate and monitor on-site installation activities to ensure proper execution 
  • Ensure quality, finishing, and specifications align with project requirements. 
  • Discuss timelines with Project Managers and enforce strict deadlines to ensure on-time delivery 
2. Supplier Coordination (Work Orders & Deliveries) 
  • Issue and track supplier work orders for outsourced scope (fabric, graphics, upholstery, décor). 
  • Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely material preparation and deliveries. 
  • Verify deliveries on site and escalate discrepancies to procurement  
 
3.Design, GOF & POP Coordination 
  • Review GOF, artwork, and POP designs with designers and project managers. 
  • Ensure artwork dimensions and technical drawings match production and site requirements. 
4. Technical Solutions  
  • Provide practical technical solutions to resolve design, material, or installation challenges. 
  • Propose cost-effective alternatives in materials, fabrication methods, and finishes. 
  • Apply value engineering principles to optimize budgets without compromising quality. 
  •  resolve unexpected issues on site (fit-outs, adjustments, reworks) by coordinating with suppliers, PMs, and production teams 
5. Workflow & Team Coordination 
  • Act as a central point of coordination between internal teams and suppliers. 
  • Ensure smooth handovers and integration of supplier works with in-house production. 
  • Identify and address operational bottlenecks proactively. 
6. Quality, Cost & Timeline Control 
  • Ensure projects are delivered within schedule and budget. 
  • Monitor installation quality on site and ensure compliance with finishing standards. 
  • Track value engineering initiatives and cost savings achieved. 
  • Report project progress and challenges regularly to manager 
7. Health, Safety & Compliance 
  • Ensure HSE guidelines are strictly followed during production and site installation. 
  • Support the HSE team in audits, reporting, and documentation. 
  • Promote a safe and compliant work environment for teams and suppliers.

Education:Graduate  
Languages:English and Hindi 
Software knowledge:Autocad knowledge. 
MS office,Illustrator, Photoshop.In design. 
 
Technical & Functional Skills  
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication methods, materials, and installation techniques for fabric, graphics, upholstery, and décor. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/shop drawings and artwork files. 
  • Hands-on problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, especially for site installations. 
  • Supplier coordination skills fortimelyexecution of work orders and deliveries. 
  • Planning, scheduling, and multitasking ability to manage multiple projects. 
  • Cost-control and value engineering mindset with focus on efficiency and savings. 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Familiarity with MS Office and basic project management tools; knowledge of HSE standards
