· Lead, manage, develop and coach, procurement team members to embed a culture of procurement excellence and best practice whilst maximizing individual strengths and talent.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, business units and clients to sustain growth.
· Engage with all stakeholders to encourage vendors to prevent, detect and eradicate breaches of ethical standards.
· Identify internal staffing requirements and fulfillment of the same.
· Allotted staff administration including objective setting, regular reviews, JD’s and appraisals.
· Increase Stakeholder satisfaction and reputation for procurement services.
Process
· Review/develop Policies, SOPs & PIMS, in line with best working practices, ensuring compliance for the department too, including but not limited to CIPS, EcoVadis, ICV, ISO, etc. standards.
· Drive improvements in the procurement processes including escalations due to delivery/QHSE issues, invoicing/payables issues, and database management.
· Drive the reduction of the supply base, where possible, and aggregate volume to gain leverage.
· Define Procurement department objectives and oversee control throughout its life cycle.
· Instill required SLA’s/KPI’s in line with best working practices ensuring optimal operational support.
Performance
· Full accountability for buy and for delivery of annual Procurement targets (agreed with the COO), ensuring savings are realized, signed off and tracked in-line with the Benefits Methodology.
· Plan, execute, and implement procurement projects according to deadlines and within budget, acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and internal departments to
deliver according to plan.
· Developing, implementing/execution of Procurement Strategies, to deliver a competitive advantage by driving vendor/partner initiatives. This includes vendor selection, vendor development and
vendor consolidation to ensure procurement optimization and overall vendor performance management.
· Solicit and evaluate proposals applying appropriate commercial review and negotiation, cost and price analysis techniques using available expertise from supporting organizations; draft and
implement purchase contracts following applicable company and government regulations.
· Perform regular market testing and benchmarking against contracts to ensure they maintain market competitiveness and deliver value for money.
· Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure procured material and services meet the needs of customers and the business.
· Provide budgetary information to all business units to ensure understanding in order that client quotations accurately reflect operational costs.
· Co-ordinate with finance department and management to ensure synergies throughout the procure to pay process.
Technology
· Drive the adoption and advancement of technology within the procurement department, leveraging innovative solutions to optimize operations.
· Lead initiatives to scale AI capabilities, ensuring integration into core processes to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and overall performance.
Other
· Manage an equivalent aggregate level of EUR Xm p.a.
· Any other task, as reasonably requested, by Electra.
