The HSE Officer is responsible for keeping employee free from danger, risk, or injury in the workplace and minimize losses due to injuries and property damages by implementing, maintaining and Improving the HSE Policy.
HSE officer prepares and ensures implementation of HSE Plan, Hazard Identification, Method Statement and Risk Assessment and other projects related to HSE documentation and technical requirements, targeting compliance to local regulations and legislations as well as complying to international standards.
Overall mission of the HSE officer is to prevent all the hazards, ensure safe working methods and aim to 0 accidents by:
-Maintaining and updating all H.S.E related documents, policies, and processes.
- Issue Safety Training and prepare monthly HSE statistics.
- Prevent any company’s loss and damages
1) Implementation and Maintenance of a safer working environment:
- Survey every department on continuous basis and assess potential risk per activity.
- Define proper corrective measures in methods / way of working to reduce risk exposure
- Support and promote all HSE policies and procedures implemented by the company
- Ensure safe site practices (Toolbox talk -factory/warehouse visits) and advise Site Staff on:
- Preventing injury to personnel, damage to plant, equipment and fires.
- Ways to improve existing work methods and contractual requirements affecting safety, health and welfare.
- Changes in the safety requirements
- Provision and use of protective clothing and equipment
- Welfare and first aid practices and facilities
- Schedule and conduct H.S.E induction training for all new joiners, and other in-house H.S.E Training programs.
- Organize meetings and events in coordination with the HR Manager to increase H&S awareness in the company
- Display the relevant cautionary instructions, signs and symbols in the prominent places.
- Investigate and determine the cause of any accident of dangerous occurrence and recommend means of preventing recurrence
2) Safe project delivery:
- Provide TBT and site safety kick off
-Develop standard document such as safety plan and method statements per defined categories of projects (tent, double deck tent, mezzanine, stand etc…)
- Train on regular basis the Project team on the development of HSE documents such as MS-RS
- Identify potential hazards and validate any safety organization/ fire and method statement with Project Managers for specific project
- Attend required job progress meetings and report on job safety performance
- Keep a permanent record of all injuries and damage at site.
- Keep a record of weekly safety meetings on site with subject and attendance.
- Take part in discussion on injury, damage, and loss control
- Inspect the work site daily and report and correct unsafe acts and conditions.
Facilities inspection:
- Supervise the Multi-Technician and conduct periodical inspection of facilities, equipment’s, tools, vehicles and firefighting facilities etc.
- Plan Regular H.S.E Audits and reports and ensure respect towards the welfare standard

- You will correctly use machinery, appliances, tools, transport, and all equipment issued by the company.
- You will correctly use personal protective equipment supplied by the company.
- You will not remove any safety devices for any machinery or installations.
- You will perform all tasks set forth by safety and environmental regulations and thus cooperate with Electra to ensure a working environment and condition that do not pose any risks in terms of health, safety and environment to others.
