Team Leader - Decor and Graphics - ELECTRA

Role Overview
The Team Leader in the Décor & Graphics Department plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, managing team performance, and ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of event, exhibition, and fit-out projects.
This position requires strong leadership, effective problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience in planning, preparation, production, on-site execution, and installation arrangements.
The Team Leader is responsible for guiding the workforce, ensuring quality control, and optimizing workflows for efficiency across various activities such as fabric installation, graphic installation, upholstery, décor element preparation, and production coordination.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Planning & Coordination
·       Plan daily production and installation activities based on project schedules.
·       Allocate manpower and resources efficiently to meet deadlines.
·       Coordinate with Project Managers, Designers, and Coordinators for smooth workflow.
·       Review project drawings, layouts, and specifications to ensure accurate execution.
 
Supervision & Execution
·       Supervise on-site and workshop activities related to décor, fabric, graphics, and upholstery works.
·       Ensure quality, precision, and finishing as per company standards.
·       Monitor work progress and resolve any technical or operational challenges.
·       Support installation arrangements and ensure readiness for site handover.
Quality & Safety
·       Conduct inspections during and after production to ensure workmanship quality.
·       Enforce compliance with safety policies and ensure proper PPE usage.
·       Identify and correct any deviations in installation or production standards.
 
Team Management
·       Guide, train, and support team members to improve skills and productivity.
·       Maintain a positive work environment focused on teamwork and accountability.
·       Evaluate team performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Reporting & Communication
·       Prepare daily progress reports and update Supervisor on key issues.
·       Communicate effectively across departments to ensure project alignment.
·       Report any material shortages, delays, or manpower gaps promptly.
 
Knowledge & Experience:
Number of years of Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience of graphics and fabrics installation
Certification:
 
Education:
Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
Languages:
English (mandatory); knowledge of Hindi is an advantage.
Systems:
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
 
Technical & Functional Skills:
•       Strong understanding of production workflows and processes.
•       Knowledge of event industry materials, tools, and equipment.
•       Familiarity with different types of fabrics and graphics used in the event industry.
•       Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, POP and layouts.
•       Strong knowledge of graphic and fabric installation methods.

  • You will correctly use machinery, appliances, tools, transport, and all equipment issued by the company.  
  • You will correctly use personal protective equipment supplied by the company.  
  • You will not remove any safety devices for any machinery or installations.  
  • You will perform all tasks set forth by safety and environmental regulations and thus cooperate with Electra to ensure a working environment and condition that do not pose any risks in terms of health, safety and environment to others.
