Job Purpose:
 
The Consultant Physician is responsible for providing high-quality, patient centered healthy longevity care to a select group of the IHLAD patients. This role will involve offering medical services in line with the lifestyle medicine standards and the primary medical license. Your participationinIHLAD’s researchactivitieswill be encouraged and supported as a co/sub investigator. The Consultant Physician will be available to offer personalized service, and a multidisciplinary treatment plan tailored to the individual patient's needs.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide healthy longevity medicine services to individual patients by carrying out appropriate screening of biomarkers of ageing and other diagnostics 
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in the design and delivery of individualized interventions and care plans for the IHLAD clients
  • Proactively monitor patients’ health and adapt diagnostics and interventions accordingly
  • Collaborate with CMO and Medical Director in the regular review and revision of all longevity and healthy lifestyle programs offered at IHLAD
  • Ensure that all programs of care are based upon the best available evidence-based longevity standards and guidelines
  • Regularly review and contribute to peer-reviewed medical literature by initiating evidence based Gero diagnostics and interventions
  • Actively support and engage in research related activities that evaluate the efficacy of applied Gero diagnostics and interventions.
  • Actively contribute to the professional debate on longevity by representing IHLAD at national and international science-based conferences and symposia
  • Be an active member of the Healthy Longevity Medicine Society
  • Support additional assignment from time to time as requested by the IHLAD executive team
 
Governance & Compliance:
 
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Medical Director, working closely with all members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team and administrative staff to ensure patient care is personalized and seamless.
 
Compliance Responsibilities:
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient information in line with HIPAA and other privacy laws. 
  • Ensure patient interactions and services comply with UAE healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and internal policies.
 
Decision-Making Authority: Holds the authority to make decisions regarding all aspects of a patient's treatment plan and seek specialist referrals as and when considered necessary.

Technical Skills:
1. Ability to perform common clinic-based procedures such as biopsies, joint injections and minor dermatological procedures.
2. Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other healthcare-related software.
3. Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare processes.
 
Qualifications and Experience:
 
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in medicine and surgery (MBBS) or Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) from an internationally recognized and reputable university
  • Completion of a postgraduate accredited lifestyle medicine curriculum (IBLM/ABLM), and/or demonstration of lifestyle/longevity medicine skills based on clinical practice.
Professional Experience:
  • Completion of a residency program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Subspecialties are welcome especially in geriatrics, endocrinology, cardiology
  • Specialty Board Certification
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in clinical care practice inclusive of lifestyle/longevity medicine
Certifications:
  • Telemedicine registration / license
  • ACLS / BLS Certification required
  • All other licenses and/or certifications required to perform duties
Working Conditions:
 
Work Environment: The role is primarily office-based within the healthcare facility, interacting with patients, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Travel Requirements: TBD on client basis
