Job Purpose:
The Concierge Physician is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centred primary care services to a select group of the Institute's VIP patients. This role involves offering enhanced access (same-day or next-day appointments, longer consultation times, after-hours communication via phone, email, or virtual consultations). The concierge physician will provide a more personalized service and treatment plan tailored to the individual patient needs while ensuring confidentiality remains a cornerstone of all services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide healthy longevity medicine services to individual patients by carrying out appropriate screening of biomarkers of ageing and other diagnostics
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in the design and delivery of individualized interventions and care plans for the IHLAD clients
- Proactively monitor patients’ health and adapt diagnostics and interventions accordingly
- Maintain a smaller patient panel, typically ranging 25-50 patients
- Offer same day or next day appointments for acute issues
- Provide direct phone and email access for patients
- Conduct telemedicine consultations when appropriate
- Ensure 24/7 availability for urgent medical conditions/concerns
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with their patients
- Collaborate with CMO and Medical Director in the regular review and revision of all longevity and healthy lifestyle programs offered at IHLAD
- Ensure that all programs of care are based upon the best available evidence-based longevity standards and guidelines
- Regularly review and contribute to peer-reviewed medical literature by initiating evidence based gerodiagnostics and interventions
- Actively support and engage in research related activities that evaluate the efficacy of applied gerodiagnostics and interventions.
- Actively contribute to the professional debate on longevity by representing IHLAD at national and international science-based conferences and symposia
- Being an active member of the Healthy Longevity Medicine Society
- Support additional assignment from time to time as requested by the IHLAD executive team
Governance & Compliance:
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Chief Medical Officer, working closely with all members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team and administrative staff to ensure patient care is personalized and seamless.
Compliance Responsibilities:
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in line with HIPAA, UAE privacy laws, and institutional policies.
- Safeguard sensitive patient data during electronic communications, phone consultations, and within digital health records.
- Establish a culture of trust, ensuring discretion is central to all aspects of patient care.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to UAE healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and internal compliance standards.
Decision-Making Authority:
- Holds the authority to make decisions regarding patient coordination, scheduling, and communication, with the ability to escalate issues to the healthcare team when necessary.

Technical Skills
1. Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and other healthcare-related software.

Qualifications and Experience:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery (MBBS) from a recognized and reputable university or hold a Doctor of Medicine degree (MD)
- Completion of a postgraduate accredited lifestyle medicine curriculum (IBLM/ABLM), and/or demonstration of lifestyle/longevity medicine skills based on clinical practice (preferred)
Professional Experience:
- Completion of a residency programme in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or related field
- Subspecialties are welcome especially in geriatrics, endocrinology, cardiology
- Minimum of 5-7 years in primary care practice, 10 years preferred
- Proven experience in managing confidential client relationships with discretion and professionalism
Certifications:
- Telemedicine registration / license
- ACLS / BLS Certification required
- All other licenses and/or certifications required to perform duties
Working Conditions
Work Environment:
- The role is primarily office-based within the healthcare facility, interacting with patients, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team with interactions extending to secure virtual platforms as needed.
Travel Requirements:
- To be determined based on client needs, including potential home visits or external consultations for VIP clients.
