Prepress Specialist - Integrated Plastics Packaging

We are looking for a Prepress Specialist to ensure accurate, print-ready artwork preparation and seamless prepress execution for flexible packaging operations, in line with quality and production standards. The responsibilities of the Prepress Specialist include, but are not limited to:
 
Responsibilities:
  • Review customer-supplied artwork and perform basic checks for print readiness.
  • Prepare files for plate or cylinder making under defined guidelines (imposition, trapping, bleeds).
  • Perform basic color corrections and file conversions as per print requirements.
  • Coordinate with design, proofing, and production teams to clarify artwork requirements.
  • Identify and report file-related issues and support troubleshooting activities.
  • Maintain proper file naming, version control, and artwork archiving for traceability.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, quality standards, and print specifications.
  • Support senior team members in process improvements and daily prepress activities.
  • Escalate complex or non-standard issues to the Prepress Supervisor or Manager as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in prepress operations within the flexible packaging or printing industry.
  • Strong hands-on exposure to artwork handling, imposition, trapping, color correction, and print file preparation for flexible packaging.
  • Ability to work closely with prepress, production, cylinder/plate making, and quality teams.
  • Strong attention to detail paired with hands-on execution capability, sound judgment, and a quality-focused mindset.
  • Good technical judgment with the ability to identify, flag, and escalate printability or file-related issues.
  • Structured approach to problem identification and basic root cause analysis.
  • Clear technical communication and documentation skills for artwork and prepress files.
  • Strong English communication skills required; Additional language proficiency is an advantage.
  • ITI / Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, Packaging Technology, or a relevant field.
