Job Summary
James L. Williams Middle East is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join our Projects team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing electrical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, budgets, and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise electrical works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and local authority regulations.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities.
- Review and manage technical submittals, material submittals, shop drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to maintain project progress.
- Support the Project Manager in achieving project objectives related to quality, cost, and schedule.
- Monitor site activities and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover activities with relevant teams.
- Evaluate variations, engineering changes, and additional work requirements.
- Liaise with design teams and construction teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local authority requirements, ESTIDAMA, LEED, and other project-specific standards.
- Lead and mentor site engineers and supervisors to achieve project goals.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Membership in a recognized professional engineering body is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Electrical Engineering within the MEP and construction industry.
- Proven experience managing electrical works for commercial, residential, infrastructure, healthcare, hospitality, or industrial projects.
- Proven Experience In Data Centre projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Sound knowledge of UAE electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience with material approvals, technical submissions, shop drawing reviews, and project coordination.
- Proficiency in project planning, execution, and resource management.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and HSE requirements.
