Construction Manager - Mangaza

SCOPE OF WORK: You are responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient execution of all project-related activities, including but not limited to the following. 
 
Construction Manager Key Responsibilities: 

Key Roles & Responsibilities 

Project Planning & Execution 
• Lead and manage day-to-day construction activities for large-scale fit-out projects from mobilization to handover. 
• Develop and implement construction strategies, sequencing, and work programs in coordination with Project Managers and Planning Engineers. 
• Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules. 

Site Management & Coordination 
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QA/QC, HSE, MEP teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution. 
• Monitor site progress, productivity, and resource allocation to meet project milestones and deadlines. 
• Resolve site-related technical, operational, and coordination issues promptly to avoid delays. 

Quality, Safety & Compliance 
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, QA/QC procedures, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs). 
• Enforce HSE policies and ensure all site activities are conducted safely and in compliance with statutory regulations. 
• Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to conduct inspections, audits, and corrective actions. 

Cost Control & Resource Management 
• Optimize resource utilization to minimize waste and improve efficiency. 
• Monitor project costs related to manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. 
• Support the Project Manager in managing variations, claims, and change orders. 

Subcontractor & Supplier Management 
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to ensure scope, quality, and timelines are met. 
• Conduct regular site meetings with subcontractors to review progress, constraints, and action plans. 
• Ensure materials delivered to site meet approved specifications and project requirements.
 
Client & Stakeholder Coordination 
• Attend site meetings with Clients, Consultants, and authorities as required. 
• Ensure client instructions and design changes are properly communicated and implemented on site. 
• Maintain professional relationships with all project stakeholders. 

Reporting & Documentation 
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to project management. 
• Maintain accurate site records, including manpower deployment, progress tracking, and site issues. 
• Support project close-out activities, snag rectification, and final handover.
