General Accountant - Mangaza

The General Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial 
reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies, and supporting the 
organization's day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Record and maintain daily financial transactions in the accounting system. 
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. 
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and general ledger accounts. 
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. 
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. 
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities. 
• Monitor cash flow and support treasury-related activities. 
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations. 
• Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation. 
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. 
• Support internal and external audit requirements by providing necessary documentation. 
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory 
requirements. 
• Identify process improvement opportunities and assist in implementing financial controls. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role. 
• Experience with ERP/accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho Books, 
QuickBooks, or Microsoft Dynamics. 

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. 
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. 
• Knowledge of VAT regulations and compliance requirements. 

Preferred Experience (UAE)

• Experience handling VAT filing and FTA compliance. 
• Familiarity with UAE labour cost allocations and payroll accounting. 
• Experience in construction or contracting industries (as applicable)
