Role Overview:
The Veterinary Nurse will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to animals, working closely with veterinarians to perform a variety of clinical tasks and ensure the well-being of our furry patients.
Responsibilities:
● Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
● Collect samples such as blood, urine, or tissue for analysis.
● Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
● Prepare animals for surgery by sterilizing surgical instruments and ensuring a sterile environment.
● Monitor animals undergoing treatment and report any changes in condition.
● Provide guidance to pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition.
● Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
● Handle and care for animals with empathy and professional care.
Requirements for the Role:
● Diploma or degree in Veterinary Nursing or a closely related field.
● Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Veterinary Nurse.
● Proficiency in handling and restraining animals safely.
● Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
● Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both animals and pet owners.
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Compassion, empathy, and a genuine love for animals.
