Role Overview

Join our dynamic finance team as a Senior Accountant, where your expertise will be pivotal in supporting robust accounting processes. As part of our team in UAE - Dubai, you'll work in an ONSITE environment, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of critical financial operations, with a particular emphasis on Accounts Payable, VAT, and reporting.

Responsibilities

Process and book invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Manage vendor payments and perform comprehensive reconciliations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with internal and regulatory policies
Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with the UAE VAT Tax system
Utilize QuickBooks efficiently for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting activities
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with internal and external audits as required
Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to best practices within the team

Must have requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, with a focus on Accounts Payable (invoice booking, vendor payments, reconciliations)
Advanced proficiency in using QuickBooks
Thorough understanding of the UAE VAT Tax system
Exceptional attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate financial records
Ability to ensure compliance with company and statutory regulations

Nice to have requirements

Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent)
Experience with other accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
Familiarity with IFRS or local UAE accounting standards
Strong analytical and reporting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
