The eCommerce Web Developer plays a critical role in building, evolving, and maintaining our Shopify-based eCommerce platforms, along with a portfolio of informational and content-driven websites. This role leads new digital initiatives end-to-end, driving continuous improvements that enhance customer experience, conversion, performance, and commercial impact. Working closely with eCommerce, Marketing, and IT, the role ensures every digital touchpoint is seamless, scalable, and aligned with business priorities.

 

What You’ll Do
· Lead full-cycle delivery of web initiatives—from concept, technical design, and development through launch, testing, and continuous enhancement
· Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, balancing new builds, enhancements, campaign support, and optimization tasks while setting timelines and delivery expectations
· Proactively communicate progress, dependencies, risks, and ETAs to eCommerce, Marketing, and IT stakeholders
· Develop new landing pages, features, and optimizations focused on improving conversion, customer experience, and media performance
· Translate commercial goals, campaign requirements, and content strategies into high-quality, scalable web experiences
· Stay updated on Shopify and Shopify Plus enhancements and ensure new capabilities are evaluated and applied to evolving business needs
· Identify user, site, performance, and business challenges; propose and implement solutions using apps, integrations, configurations, or custom development
· Continuously improve site fundamentals including load speed, navigation, search, and key customer flows to support a seamless shopping journey
· Build, maintain, and optimize Shopify and Shopify Plus storefronts, as well as supporting websites and CMS platforms such as WordPress
· Work across both front-end and back-end development to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions
· Apply strong UI/UX and navigation principles to enhance overall user journeys
· Build, maintain, and troubleshoot API and third-party integrations including payment gateways, analytics tools, PIM systems, marketing platforms, and backend systems
· Collaborate with designers and content creators to adapt creative assets for web use, ensuring layouts, imagery, and content are performant, on-brand, and conversion-driven
· Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance content creation, visual consistency, and experimentation speed

 

What You Should Bring
· Several years of hands-on experience in web development with a strong focus on eCommerce environments
· Strong experience with Node.js, jQuery, CSS, GraphQL (or equivalent technologies/libraries)
· Demonstrated ability to deliver and support production websites independently
· Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
· Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple parallel priorities
· Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment with eCommerce, Marketing, and IT teams
