Role Purpose

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
  • Lead and manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring all journals, accruals, and prepayments are posted accurately and on time. Ensure the accuracy of the numbers.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and profit & loss statements for all Wolfi's Group entities for discussion with senior management. Produce variance analysis reports that compare actual performance against the budget and prior periods, with clear commentary.
  • Prepare & circulate multiple monthly reports to stakeholders as per fixed timelines.
Inventory & Retail Finance
  • Support the Finance Manager in monitoring inventory valuation, stock ageing reports, and slow-moving stock provisions.
  • Review and analyse retail store financial performance including sales, margins, shrinkage, and cost variances.
  •  Work closely with the operations and buying teams to ensure financial accuracy of purchase orders and stock movements.
Internal Controls & Audit
  • Implement, monitor, and continuously improve internal financial controls across all Group entities.
  • Ensure adherence to the Group's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation, reconciliations, and explanations as requested.
  • Identify and escalate any control weaknesses, fraud risks, or compliance gaps to the Finance Manager promptly.
Team & Stakeholder Management
  • Supervise and mentor junior finance team members.
  • Liaise with department heads, store managers, and operations teams on financial matters.
  • Support FM/CSGO/CEO on ad hoc financial analysis and reports.
VAT, Tax & Regulatory Compliance
  • Prepare and file quarterly UAE VAT returns accurately and on time in accordance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) requirements.
  • Support the Group's UAE Corporate Tax compliance, including maintaining transfer pricing documentation for related party transactions.
  • Assist with implementing e-invoicing (FTA mandate) and ensure all invoicing processes are compliant.
Requirements
  • Chartered Accountant (Intermediate minimum) / Bachelor of Commerce.
  • Minimum 10 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE.
  • Knowledge of UAE VAT & Corporate Tax and related FTA compliance.
  • Strong MS Excel skills, advanced level including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modelling, and MIS reporting.
  • Experience in a retail, FMCG, or multi-entity business environment.
  • Excellent spoken and written English — all reporting and communication within the Finance team and the group is conducted in English.
  • Demonstrable experience managing month-end close independently.
  • Knowledge of Xero and Cin7 systems, as well as a UAE driving licence, is a plus.
