Role Purpose
The Junior Mechanic & Bike Washer supports the Wolfi’s workshop team by assisting with basic bike maintenance, washing, and preparation duties. This role ensures every bike whether customer-owned, demo, or display is clean, presentable, and ready for service or handover. Under the guidance of senior mechanics, the Junior Mechanic also learns key service tasks and builds foundational mechanical skills.
 
Responsibilities
 
Bike Washing & Detailing
·       Wash and detail customer bikes post service using approved methods and tools
·       Clean demo and display bikes regularly to maintain showroom standards
·       Dry, polish, and prepare bikes for handover or display with care and consistency
·       Maintain the bike wash area in a clean, organized, and hazard free condition
 
Workshop Assistance
·       Support mechanics with simple tasks such as inflating tires, fitting accessories, and removing packaging
·       Assist with pre-service checks and bike setup
·       Learn and follow basic workshop protocols, tools handling, and safety guidelines
·       Ensure tools are cleaned and returned to their designated place after use
 
Customer Experience Support
·       Help ensure every serviced or washed bike meets Wolfi’s quality standards
·       Greet and assist customers professionally when working in shared areas
·       Represent the Wolfi’s brand through pride in work, cleanliness, and presentation
 
Safety & Maintenance
·       Follow all safety procedures in workshop and wash zones
·       Report any faults or maintenance needs to the Workshop Manager promptly
·       Keep workstations clean and clear of hazards
 
Learning & Development
·       Demonstrate willingness to learn from senior mechanics and take part in training sessions
·       Ask questions and actively build knowledge of bike components, servicing, and tools
·       Support during events, group rides, or peak periods as required
 
Requirements
·       A minimum of 1 year experience in a cycling workshop
·       Passion for bikes and eagerness to learn about mechanics and servicing
·       Ability to follow instructions and safely use cleaning tools and workshop equipment
·       Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks (lifting, standing, etc.)
·       Dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented
